Please look at this example, specifically in the horns:
One would think of the common issue where one just needs to insert a ‘reset’ condensing change either directly there or in the bar/system before but that has no effect. Trying a ‘manual condensing’ with both horns in the same voice results in the dynamics and the slur disappearing.
This is quite close to the beginning of the flow, there is no previous condensing change involving the horns and they have been behaving perfectly well until now. What could this be? Trying to brainstorm.

The temporary solution was to specify a Manual Condensing with separate upstem and downstem voices (
). Since this happened later again in the flow I ‘think’ to understand why this may be happening: the two horns cross in the next phrase, possibly triggering the issue.
It also happened at a certain point in Oboes, without crossings, though… in that case, a normal reset would help.
To solve the problem without adding a condensing change, go to Notation Options > Condensing, scroll near the bottom of this category, and set Minimum length of range of rests to allow hiding to 1.
Are all the notes originally in Up-stem Voice 1?
I have it set to ‘2’ and do not recall ever changing this setting. Is ‘2’ telling Dorico to wait until it has at least two quarter-note value of rests before triggering any hiding?
Yes, they are. It was one of my first checks given this project originated as an XML.
Yes. Bar 89 only has one quarter rest specifically for Horn I; the other rests apply to both horns. If the option I mentioned is set to 1, then that quarter rest will be hidden.
