Condensing Piccolo/Flute 1 and Flute 2

Hi everyone,

What is reason for the Piccolo and Flute 2 to not condense? I can’t figure it out.

  • The Picc. is the first instrument in it’s player
  • Instrument changes are set to be allowed
  • Fl. 1 and 2 correctly condense at the end.

The Picc is a transposing instrument; that may prevent it from condensing.

So, if there are transposing instruments in different players, they will only condense when playing the same instrument (transposition)? Whereas before Dorico 6, they wouldn’t condense at all?

It sounds like a stupid question and obvious behaviour the more I read it back.
