If you’re expecting one notehead, that would not be correct because one of the notes is dotted and the other isn’t. You can force them to combine by changing the voice column index of the stem-down note in Engrave mode. But for this case I don’t recommend it.

There’s a per-flow default option for allowing/disallowing notes in opposing voices, where one is dotted and the other undotted, to overlap. Library > Notation Options > Voices.
