Condensing works differently on two different staves?

Hi smart people—

I’m sure I will slap my own forehead when someone points out what I’m missing, but I have a 6-part (SSATBB) arrangement that’s condensing correctly for the treble voices (SSA), but indicating shared pitches with duplicated noteheads in the bass voices (TBB):

I had thought that condensing options were set on a Layout-wide level, and condensing changes at the measure-wide level. Am I missing some way to change condensing so that two different staves handle unisons differently? Thanks for whatever wisdom you can offer!

Given how Dorico condensing works in phrases (rest to rest), we would need to see what comes before your example, preferably in Dorico format rather a screenshot.

Thanks, @Derrek. The phrase screenshotted above is actually between two rests—the first notes of the piece with a quarter rest after all voices—but here’s the Dorico file if that makes things easier. I appreciate the help!

I’m following this topic because I’m also curious about condensing 3+ parts onto one staff. (Dorico seems to handle 2 parts onto one staff, which is all I ever do, wonderfully by default.)

If you add a condensing change that puts the tenors in an up-stem voice and both baritones in a down-stem voice, then the duplicated noteheads will go away:

Aha! Thanks so much, @johnkprice! I’m slowly starting to learn how Dorico “sees” things, and appreciate the shared wisdom!
