Hello, I am having an issue with Dorico where I am condensing a part, and I would like to keep my note values exactly as they appear without them being changed. Here is what it looks like in Galley View before condensing (I am trying to keep it this way):

Does anyone know how to keep the whole note as written, and not changed to two half notes? Thanks so much.
Could you share the file or just the part that doesn’t work? I get the correct result with default condensing settings.

This happens if there is a condensing change applying manual condensing with both voices in the same stem direction.
For this part, which is a Horn part, it doesn’t look like that’s the issue. Here is my condensing change menu here:
I think the solution is that I need to drag the Horn 4 voice below the down-step voice section. Will let you know if that solves it
It’s exactly the issue. Both voices are forced to the same stem direction and Dorico can only display this setting by splitting longer note durations to match the shorter ones of the other voice.
Move horn 4 to the down-stem voice (or perform a Reset).
