I’ve seen a few posts on this but not quite specific to my issue. I made a percussion map and kit for NI Studio Drummer which works perfectly, playing the notes in from a midi keyboard with the correct playback, playback techniques noteheads etc. I can’t understand why the same procedure isn’t working for a congas patch in Kontakt: using the shift-opt-arrow inputs the notes (with the wrong sound on entry but plays back ok), but keyboard puts the same note in regardless what I play. Would be great if it just worked.. I’m probably trying to force a Finale work style into Dorico here, maybe missing something simple. Appreciate any suggestions.
Hi!
Have you set your Preferences >Note input >Percussion correctly so that you’re using the percussion map and not the staff as a pitch reference?
I see you have two different CC notes for natural in your PM. Maybe not directly related to the problem you have but if you want to use the left and right hand samples of your library you should define different techniques (also in the setup).
Hi, yep I’ve set that up as you mention
OK thanks for the tip.. I didn’t realize the playback techniques couldn’t be used for more than one note. Will have a look at that.
