Connect MR 816 to laptop with USB3.2 Gen 2/DP

Hi,
I just bought an ASUS 15.6" TUF Gaming A15 Series TUF506II Gaming Laptop [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1561080-REG/asus_tuf506ii_bs74_ryzen_7_4800h_8gb.html/overview](https://ASUS 15.6" TUF Gaming A15 Series TUF506II Gaming Laptop).
It has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Supports DisplayPort) port on it. I have purchased Belkin Firewire 800/400 9-Pin/6-Pin Cable (2 M/6.Ft.) .

  1. Is it possible to connect my MR 816 to my laptop?
  2. If yes, what other cables and adaptors I need to purchase please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Iā€™m afraid you are out of luck with this laptop. For MR816 to be connectable to USB 3, the port should support Thunderbolt, which is usually true for Intel-based (or Apple) computers only. AMD does not support it, AFAIK.
