Connected beams after a system break with different beam orientations

Is it possible to change the position of a connected beam after a system break? This is what I get:

I’m not concerned with whether it’s right or wrong, just whether it’s possible. Does anyone have a hint?

Split the beam at the E.
Select the second beam and add partial beam left property.
Select the first beam and add partial beam right property…
