Console Undo bug?

Hello! New to Cubase and new here! I pray everyone is well!

I experienced something interesting today. I was using the SSL 4K E plugin and I use the undo/redo buttons within the plugin to check the difference between settings and I noticed the undo/redo buttons within the plugin itself was changing the console faders. I’ve never experience that before in my other DAW.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

I don’t own this plug-in. But I would rather use the A/B comparison in Cubase itself (plug-in header).

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the reply!

So, the thing I find strange about this is that the undo/redo buttons within a 3rd party plugin are controlling console fader movements in Cubase, which must be a bug, because this doesn’t happen in my other DAW.

Kind of bumping this back up. My console undo still doesn’t work properly because it doesn’t record everything. Is this an issue for anyone else? I’m on Mac Monterey with the latest version of Cubase 14 Pro.

It may or may not have anything to do with your problem but I don’t believe that Cubase 14 officially supports Mac Monterey.

This is what I was wondering because I have a friend with Cubase 14 on the same Mac that I have (2013 Mac Trashcan on Monterey) and he experiences the same thing.

Is Console Undo responding quickly and normally for you on your setup or have you experienced anything like this before? What is your system specs and version too?
