Ulf (sorry if I should send this to someone else):
After installing Dorico 5 Update (5.1) I get a missing files message for: 1) Indian Drum Basics; 2) Groove Agent SE 5 - Content; 3: Olympus Choir Micro; and 4) HALion Symphonic Orchestra. But, when I check the Download Assistant, all of these files are shown as having been downloaded and installed (green bars). I also tried reinstalling everything, but still get a similar error message. An earlier version of Dorico worked with no problem. Appreciate any help - work in MS Windows 10

@Audrey_Kozak , welcome to the forum, but please do not post the same message in multiple threads. Key members of the Development Team (and quite a few fellow users) read every post, and will find your request even if only posted once.
Hi @Audrey_Kozak , welcome to the forum and thanks for the data.
Although the Downloload Assistant may say that everything is installed, accroding to your log files Dorico does only recognize the HALion Sonic contents. I assume it is a file permission issue.
In order to find out, please run the here attached batch file. First download and unzip it, then go into that folder and double click on the *.bat file.
A command window shall appear and after a few seconds later on your Desktop the file VAEDiagnosticsReport.zip shall get created. Please also post that one here as well. Thanks you very much CreateVAEDiagnosticsReport.zip (782 Bytes)
Hi @Audrey_Kozak , no worries about the double postings, but you need to read more carefully: In my previous reply I attached a batch script which does something differently than the usual Diagnostics Report that youâve already posted.
So please read again my previous posting and follow the instructions closely. Thank you very much
Sorry, but I see this strange sentence when it executes: âMirosoft VBScript runtime error: Permission deniedâ Then it ends with no produced output into my desktop. Before that I could see a large number of repeated lines saying that the system cannot find the pathway specified. If you are right about a permission issue (I had to override a MS prompt to not execute the unzipped .BAT file), is there a command to give Dorico full permission?
Hi @Audrey_Kozak , in that case please do a right click on my batch file and then choose from the pop-up menu the item âRun as administratorâ. How does it do then?
I did that and saw one line saying âFile Not Foundâ followed by a line saying that the VAEDiagnostics file will be written to the desktop. I do not see it on my desktop and just did a whole PC scan for the file but nothing came up in the search. So sorry for the bother over this and I greatly appreciate your patience!! - I am 70 and consider myself a computer novice even though I have been using Sibelius for more than 10 years and have been keenly interested in switching to Dorico.
Hello. I have the same error message as the others after installing Dorico 5 Pro today (9/21/24). Luckily, unlike the others, playback apparently is working well and I cannot detect any other problems. To be certain, I have prepared for your review the two documents you requested from the others and they are attached here. Bob VAEDiagnosticsReport.zip (16.6 KB) Dorico Diagnostics.zip (425.3 KB)
You see the different ownership between some files. Some say BUILTIN\Administrators and some Robert-PC\Robert. I think they should be all same, namely BUILTIN\Administrator? If not, we could maybe have a remote screen sharing session, if you like.
Ulf: Thank you for your quick reply. What is the best method to accomplish the goal of making them all the same? Do the programs associated with those entries need to be re-installed? Which would take less of YOUR time - explaining to me what to do in an email - or - a having a remote screen-sharing session? Bob
