Context gate

The Instrument on track is Bass Whip. Under Inspector, I choose Context Gate as a MIDI Insert.

First of all, I am not at all familiar with this effect lol. Second, when I choose Context Gate, the track goes silent. Even if I reselect No Effect as a MIDI Insert, track remains silence.

Any explanation why this is the case?

Not sure why you don’t get sound after removing it….I couldn’t replicate that here

If you don’t hear anything with it enabled that’s because it’s doing exactly what you set it to do….with that setting specifically you must play a 4 note or more chord to open the gate.
