Environment: Cubase Pro 15.0.30 / Windows
Steps to reproduce:
- Drag an audio file from MediaBay into the project window, creating a new audio track.
- Immediately right-click on the newly created event/track.
- The context menu prioritizes “Sampler Track”-related options rather than the standard toolbar/context menu.
Question:
Is this the intended behavior? It feels counterintuitive, so I would like to confirm whether this is by design.
Request:
I would like the right-click immediately after creating a new track via drag-and-drop to open the standard context menu by default. “Add to Sampler Track” could instead be assigned to a modifier-key combination such as Ctrl+right-click.
Rationale:
Sampler Track creation is already available by right-clicking directly in the MediaBay / Media Rack, so there seems to be little reason to prioritize the Sampler Track option again after a track has already been created. In practice, invoking “Add to Sampler Track” at this stage results in a duplicated track, which does not seem rational as a default flow. I also frequently reach for the toolbar right after loading a file, and the current priority order gets in the way of that workflow.
Thanks in advance for any clarification or consideration.
