Control room and monitoring problems

Hi something really messed up my cubase 12, and i don’t know how to fix it.

this is my control room audio connections :
when i connect the Mon. to output 1&2 and the control room to 3&4 everything works including the monitoring plugins BUT it’s twice as loud..

the problem :
I can’t use the monitoring plugins & when i turn on the control room knob (turns green)
it’s really drops in volume that i barley hear anything.
All i want is to be able to hear with those plugins on in monitoring inserts + be able to hear the media bay (samples) , can someone help me please ?

Is anything assigned in outputs?

Hard to know exactly what else is going on as you don’t say what outs 1/2/3/4 are connected to.

OK…so why are you routing one set of outs to 1/2 and one to 3/4? Where are those going exactly?

Before i had just 1&2 output on my control room as it in the photo above, and everthing worked fine, now it don’t work (i can hear the song but can’t hear the media bay & monitoring inserts)

Your “control room” is actually a headphone bus. Aren’t your inserts on the Main bus?

If you set Mon to 1/2 do you hear the inserts??

my inserts are on the main bus as in the picture above, if i set mon. to 1/2 the inserts work BUT i can’t hear the media bay (samples) , if i set 3/4 outputs on my control room i hear the samples but now the music is twice as loud..

I don’t know why you have the control room bus at all (headphone bus, just labelled control room by you) and you won’t answer what your outs are connected to so I can’t work it out.

Preview (Media bay etc) to headphone bus is set in prefs/control room…maybe you just need to untick that that and leave control room disconnected or delete it with Mon on 1/2.
