Hi,
-
Add a Cue to your Control Room under Studio/Audio Connections/Control Room
Do not assign any audio device or port to it -
Add an audio track and name it "Cue Track" for now
Open the Inspector in the Project Window and open your Output Routing here
Select “No Bus” in the second drop down menu of this Routing tab.
- Open your MixConsole
Go to the upper right corner, click on the tiny cogwheel to the right and make sure that the box “Cue-Sends” is checked
Go to your Cue Track and activate the Cue Send by clicking here
Make sure that this Cue Send is exclusivly reserved for this particular track
- Listening to your Cue
Import/Drag your reference track/song etc on your Cue Track in the Project Window
Now, you can choose between your Mix and your Cue in the Control Room by clicking here
Little extra tips:
A Go to your Cue Track in the project window and click on its Solo button while holding alt (option). Now the S is turning into a D (defeat solo). This way you’ll never accidently mute this track - you can only hear it if you choose the Cue in the Control Room so it doesn’t interfere with anything.
B You can add track versions (Inspector) to your Cue Track. This way you can switch between multiple references using only one single Cue.
I hope I didn’t forget anything.
