I am using an UR44C and Cubase 15. In controlroom I have setup my speakers as Mix L and R for normal listening and I am wishing for a setup where I can mute my speakers and listen to headphones only. If I add Phones to the CR there doesnt seem to be an option to listen to only them and mute my speakers?
Right now I always have to turn my speakers down to listen on Headphones only.
Is there a way to do what I want to do?
I am Mac btw. In dsp mix I cant assign headphones to certain outs or so cause there is no such option
If you never need to listen through your speaker and headphones at the same time, i.e. only switch between either speaker or headphones, you can add a second Monitor channel and route that to your headphones in Audio Connections.
I think that’s the answer. Alternatively, you could (?) assign a key command to turn off your main monitor section. But I think mlib’s suggestion is better.
so you have it just like me. In my case I have a keyComand to mute the headphone output or the Main. but both continue to receive a signal, unless you mute them. If you mute the Main outputs, you should be able to continue listening through headphones.
Yes, it would be nice to have an exclusive monitoring option (headphones or speaker) available in preferences. I like to keep the phones tab open in CR so I always have to turn off the speakers, too.
