This should be simple but I haven’t figured it out yet. I use control room when tracking a vocal. When I playback the vocal to the artist on the headset, that they have just recorded, the playback volume, in their headset, is louder in their headsets then it was when they were recording their vocal. Does anyone know the solution to keeping the playback and the recording volumes the same level? I’m assuming that I am missing a proper busing level somehow. Thanks all.
Do you use direct monitoring on you audio interface for providing the singer with a monitor signal? Then the volume in their headphones is determined by what you set it in the audio interface, not much that Cubase can do there. Just lower the level of the vocal channel so that it feels right for the singer.
