As above…I expect there to be a mechanism so when I isolate channels, it should respect that eg
- Select 5 core channels eg Bass Guitar etc
- Vis Agents, only show selected
- Only these tracks should be visible on AM and faders should be able to be focused on just these channels. Worked with mcu
Anyone have the solution to this…I looked in eucon settings but maybe Im missing something
Only this and doesnt seem to do anything
Cheers
Ah ok
The issue is that visibility config agents between project and mixer have no sync despite the pref being set for sync
Was this fixed by v14?
Yeah, I did a feature request years ago to have visibility agents be the same between the mixer and project windows and with the same key commands. My workaround at that point was to create a macro to open the mixer window, execute the agent, open the project window.
The only thing with a macro like that is that it only works as long as you do not have the mixer in focus already since the mixer window function is a toggle. I think I made a feature request about that as well… Nothing…

Yes. I also requested this feature for iC Pro, where the “artists” never play because they’re overwhelmed by all the channels… I use them a lot in mixing, and iC Pro doesn’t respect visibility. More improvements have been requested… with the result of NOTHING! Cubase 15 won’t improve in this aspect. hahaha Will it be released tomorrow???

Hi @Buer
not..
Thats just the manual vis which is not linked to the mixer. Thats just to edit the configs then you hot key them.
Hi @MattiasNYC
Exactly my convo with @Martin.Jirsak
And also my feature request to either have a programmatic macro language, or allow the windows and widgets to be addressable to autohotkey (preferred).
Nothing…
I guess I could use autohotkey as it can at least get to the mix and project. I use that now for Totalmix fix and have it on hotkey when I need to config it…via BMT
Cheers
If want a serious update…ditch IC Pro…just install avid control…its free and has been a huge leap for me. It already does all that because it uses Eucon which actually works vs midi remote and MCU
you wont look back
im using Avid Control, + IC Pro (im using 2 ipads)
how it works with MCU? and Midi Remote??
I might not be understanding your application…why icpro not just avid control?
I’m saying MCU and remote do a lot less functions and are buggy/half baked…eucon is doing what they don’t seem able…last time I looked at api…still missing so much and have to hack
Ah, OK, I think I understand.
I use both because I manage with them both. I just wish I could use IC Pro because Steiny designed it and, in some ways, did a good job. It just needs improvement because it has many flaws.
Avid Control, on the other hand, has things that IC Pro can’t do, which makes my work easier. I don’t know if it’s the same with EUCON, but it also needs a few things polished.
MCU is old, but at least for me, it has very important features that allow Cubase to do what I need it to. For example, if I have channels I don’t need to see, MCU hides them, while EUCON and IC Pro don’t.
And I think we both need the same thing!
OH!!! Avid control can Follow my visibility Agents!
Avid created the eucon protocol…so I’m meaning anything avid has greater functionality…and just works. I sleep my machine at night as I work 6 days a week on it.
I turn all the gear back on
MCU is great idea but it doesn’t sync to the mixer banks…broken
Remote midi is missing so many things so I add legacy remote for extra stuff
I’m using a pair of BCF Controls, which use MCUs, and it does change the fader bank.
From your comment, I think we’re both on the same page and expecting the same things, although I admit I’m fairly new to the Eucon world. I started using Avid Control again before the summer, but not daily. Now I’ll definitely use it again when I have to tackle mixing. It’s certainly what I need.
It’s a shame I can’t have multiple fader banks on both iPads. It seems one is only for the SoftKeys.
Im pretty sure you can only run 1 instance of avid control on ipad as its the master…this is why ableton is superior…you can program the session box to be as big as you want and the linking of session boxes is part of the code framework.. You can even have multiple hardware running diff banks or linked if you want.
Im pretty happy with 1 8 channel fader as else it takes too much real estate and avid lets you have “layouts” which can be under a softkey and eg you can jump from bank of faders at current position or 1 press to turn them into fixed buss faders, subgroups etc so its more than capable to manage it.
