Control Surface for midi track mixing

Hi all,
I am trying to determine if something like the Presonus Faderort 16 will work for me or not. I’m using Cubase Artist 13. I understand the benefits of motorized faders on audio track and mixdown but my needs pertain primarily to midi.

I want to be able to mix volumes and or panning using the faders manually on individual midi tracks, not audio. These tracks are from Kontakt and VSL orchestral libraries. (I do a lot of demos with just midi)

I just haven’t noticed folks talking about midi only when discussing control surfaces. So, any input or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

it will not work on midi tracks. but it will work on VSTi, the instruments audio part. So if you use 1 kontakt with 8 multiple outs you can control those 8 outputs - not 10 midi tracks that do not give out audio and only contain midi data
