Control VSTL via iPad?

As there is no support (yet) for PDFs, I am trying to find some way to sync music notation on an iPad (ForScore app) with Songs and layers on VSTL.

Ideally, a layer in VSTL that drives a song change in ForScore (you can send/receive MIDI data in this app) or vice versa.

From reading through the forum, there is no support from VSTL to transmit blue tooth MIDI. You cannot set the iPad up via USB (wired) as both it and the PC are trying to act as hosts so not sure where to go with it. Would be interested to see if anyone is trying to do anything similar.

Music notation is a must for me but don’t really want to be operating two systems in a live situation. Thanks.

VSTL just sees any MIDI device as an I/O so it’s down to the operating system to present the device so that is can be mapped.
A number of people are using the “chocolate box” pedal, which is BlueTooth, with VSTL using MIDIBerry (freeware) as the go-between on Windows. Presumably there is a way in MacOS as well.
I’m also fairly sure that CME Pro WIDI devices will talk to other manufacturers BlueTooth MIDI devices (including iOS) and they do present as a standard MIDI device.

Hello Clive. I’m using a Boss FS WL 1 which I found will communicate with the iPad via blue tooth while connecting to VSTl via USB. I’ll take a look at the MIDIberry software. Regards, Tim
