Controller Lane Expanded Menu Issue

Hello, I would like to report a design flaw with the controller lane expanded menu in Cubase 14.

It takes forever to select all the events on a lane when many controllers are enabled because the ‘Select All Events On Lane’ function is located at the bottom of the menu (see video).

Please move all important commands at the top and all available controllers at the bottom, and consider adding the ability to select all events via key command (the user would need to click somewhere on the lane first to specify the right controller) or by double clicking with the range tool (it’s not practical to use logical editor presets when working with many controllers).

Finally, please add the ability to scroll through all menus with the mouse wheel (clicking and holding is too inaccurate and unresponsive).

Make a right click on the lane header and use “Select all Events on Lane” from there.

I am not a big fan of this column either. It is created by the Windows OS and so is its usability. On the Mac it would work differently.
Small tip: to get to the “important commands” fast, simply press the Arrow Up key. The column wraps around, ie. if the mark is on the uppermost entry and you press Up then the mark will move to the bottommost entry.
If you use a combination of placing the mouse to place the mark and then the Up and Down keys you can navigate fairly quickly through the column.
Again, it is the OS that determines how it works.

Thank you! I didn’t know you could select all events by right clicking.

I tried the up arrow tip but I still think mouse wheel scrolling would be much better if possible (smartshift mouse wheels can scroll very fast).

I also think it makes much more sense to place all permanent commands at the top of the menu so adding new controllers doesn’t push them further to the bottom. One still has to scroll all the way down to select program changes which can’t be done by right clicking. And many other users like me might not think to right click to select all events.

C14 has re-introduced underscores on menus, so typing “S” on the keyboard enables you to scroll through all the menu items with an underlined “S” - maybe not ideal, but you don’t have to scroll.
Assuming Windows and they’re turned on.
