Is it possible to use my Yamaha Motif XF8 to play the sounds in Halion Sonic and or Neo-Soul Keys, if so how do I connect it with my DAW to make it happen.
Midi cable out from your keyboard to Midi in of your audio/midi interface connected to the computer.
Or of your Yamaha Motif XF8 as a USB out put then you could use an A-to-B cable - these tend to be a lot cheaper. Then open up your DAW and you should be ready to go. If not then go to “Devices” - “MIDI Device Manager” then “Install Device”. If yours isn’t listed then go for GM Device. I’ve had midi controllers using this mapping and have had no problems.
