Is it possible to convert CC7 controller messages to CC1 or CC11. For example, could I copy controller messages in velocity lane 7 and paste them into controller lane CC1 or CC11? Thanks.

Yes, Paste right into the lane. The behavior will be the same as for other midi events, they will be pasted to the playback cursor position.

I’m a total noob to Cubase. I managed to select the controllers in the velocity lane by using Edit > Select > Select controllers in note range. But I can’t figure out how to paste them to the the lane I made for CC1. I’m using the Key editor, but I also have an automation lane set up for CC1 in the track view. Which should I use? Thanks.

Sorry, I was asking the wrong question. Is it possible to copy and paste velocity messages to a controller pane? If not, is it possible to send velocity messages to a controller pane like CC1 or CC11? Thanks.

No, because velocity is not a controller, its part of the midi Note-on message.
