"Convert Marker Types" crashes WL 8.0.3 64bit

In a 3hr montage made up of 3 imported CDs I’m trying to convert CD Track Splices to generic or temporary marker types but it crashes WL when I try this. I’ve tried 5 times with 5 crashes. Anyone else having problems with this, or know of a fix?

i7 3770k
Win 8 Pro 64bit
32GB ram
