I’m new to this. How do I convert a WAV file to mp3?

I need to submit a single mp3 of 10MB or less of four movements lasting a total of about 10 minutes. I have a Zoom H6 recorder and have Wavelab LE 8 and Cubase LE AI that came with a free download. I was thinking of recording in the highest-res WAV format, editing, and then converting to mp3 to submit. Any suggestions to this newcomer would be greatly appreciated.

After you record and edit the .wav in Cubase you can do a “mixdown” to .mp3. Look under file>export>audio mixdown". Choose the file format “MPEG 1 Layer 3 File” option.
