I have a piano exercise in a repeating pitch pattern, all in eighth notes, and want to change it into dotted eighths-sixteenths (so, same amount of pitches but different durations). It would be great to change the durations in the first bar and then copy just the durations for the remaining bars. Is there an easy way to do this?
Select the notes and hit “.”
Thank you @Janus for your quick reply. However, since the exercise is many bars long, and I wish to keep the pattern of dotted eighth-sixteenth, that would require to select every other note for the entire extension of the exercise, which is quite tedious. I wonder if there is an easier way (like doing it for one bar and then copying for the remaining or an filter that select beat specific notes - like the first one on each beat?).
Not at all. Select all the notes and hit “.” once and see what happens!
Nope. Select all the 8th. All of them. Press the dot: you have a dotted 8th and 16th all the way. Demonstrated by Daniel Spreadbury two months before the release of Dorico 1!

Amazing! That did it. I am still wondering if there is a way to copy just durations from one bar to others, but for now your solution worked perfectly. Thanks @MarcLarcher
With no slight to Marc, Janus suggested this in the second post of this thread.
Fair! I missed Janus´post because I only looked at the last one. Thanks @Janus
