Copy Page templates?

Hello,

I have an orchestral piece written in Dorico. I wrote a legend/instrumentaion page in French and I wanted to have a second page in English. What I did is I created a new template based on the original one. Then I translated the text while keeping the page original format (font size, etc.). However, the original template has been modified too. In other words, I lost my version in French and I have two page templates in English.

This is a bit frustrating. Did I miss something?

EDIT : I went back in the French Version to translate it back in French. When that was done it applied it in the English template too. It seems I don’t understand the functionally of creating a new template based on another one…

When you do this the text boxes are linked under the hood. You have to delete the text box in the new template and make a new one.

It has been requested to have a way to unlink them.

Yes, this happens, when you go this route.
Either delete the text frame and make a new one - or create a new template without a reference to another one.
