Is there a way to copy automation curves from one clip to another of same length?

There is a quick and dirty way of doing that: engage “automation follows clip” in the Edit menu.
Copy the clip that has the automation you want to copy, and paste it onto the other clip (in Nuendo you can stack clips). At that point the automation of the first clip will also be copied. Then all you need to do is erase the copied clip to uncover the second clip, that will now have the same automation.
