Copying parts from one instrument to another in the score

I would like to move a flute part to a clarinet part. What is the easiest or best way to do this?
I am using Dorico Pro 5.

@Alberto_Maria suggests two different approaches, depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.

  • If you’ve written a part out for flute and now realize that you want the clarinet to play it instead, then use Setup mode to change the instrument from a flute to a clarinet.
  • If you want the clarinet to play these notes in addition to the flute, then you should set up the clarinet as a new player (if you haven’t already), and then use copy and paste to copy the notes from the flute part to the clarinet part.

Let me add, you can actually also move the music from the flute player to the clarinet player.
Use Cut & Paste.
If the two players are next to each other in the score, you can also select the flute player’s music and via Paste Special menu “Move to Staff Below”.
