Yes this is greatly needed. I’ve been reading up on things lately due to my computer not performing as well as I felt it should. It all comes down to one core being maxed out whilst all other cores has much, much processing power left. I created a thread where I have pictures of the CPU usage and was asked to link that here by another user, just to give Steinberg annother example. So here it is.
To Steinberg. Given that some users use 3rd party tools to have a better performing setup it may be beneficial to consider using containers for running plugins or groups of plugins separately from Cubase itself. This is something that Bitwig is doing and even though it’s not always perfect it may be a way to mitigate the load better on a shorter term. Ofc that is easier said than done but I just wanted to make this suggestion.
