'Could not create project directory' with 'Audio recording aborted'.

Hi, I’ve just downloaded Cubase Pro 10 and am using it on a Windows 10 laptop with good specs. When I want to create a new project I get the message ‘Could not create project directory’, but Cubase opens okay and works fine until I want to record something, at which point I get the message ‘Audio recording aborted. The Disk is full!’ My hard drive has plenty of room on it, btw. Not much online about these. Does anybody have any ideas what might be happening? Thanks,
Antony.

I should mention that I’m trying to record MIDI, not audio.

Permissions.
Check folder permissions.

Thanks peakae, I checked and from what I can tell I have full control of all folders. Should also mention that I still have Cubase 8 installed and it works fine.
