couldn't enter activation code on cubase ai 9

dear all,
i have a problem when installing cubase Ai 9, i get some promo in my steinberg and i bought for upgrades to ai 9, but when i install the software, put my USB elicenser and go to e-licenser control center, to enter activation code, i found error said “Currently, there is no license available which can be upgraded by your upgrade license. Please connect an USB-eLicenser, which holds an appropriate upgradable license, to your computer.”

could some one know any clue?

Did you activate your previous version of Cubase AI first?

yes i already activate on my steinberg, but not on my usb elisencer

You didn’t do the full activation procedure. You’ll need to activate your previous version of Cubase AI using the eLicenser Control Center. If you’ve used Cubase AI before, you just have to click Reactivate at the top of your MySteinberg to get a new activation code.
