Courtesy accidentals not appearing on condensed parts

Hello,

I have a situation where I have Alto Sax 1 and Alto Sax 2 parts that are condensed on a score. Where they are playing unison, I have placed a courtesy B natural where needed on each of the parts (having un-condensed them initially). Like this:

When I condense the parts, however, the courtesy accidental does not show.

How do I make it so that it is shown on a condensed part? When condensed, I don’t seem to be able to access the Properties panel to show them.

Thank you.

In Engrave mode?

Interesting: it seems similar to this recent unexpected behaviour with courtesy accidentals and condensing:

Thanks, Jesper. Going into Engrave Mode enabled me to add the courtesy. Not sure why that doesn’t show up in the condensed versions when both individual parts have it.

My guess is that courtesy accidentals are for players (of a part layout). For a score it might feel unnecessary to add them, that’s why Dorico has this as default (not to show them). But that’s just my personal guess.

Perhaps you are correct. It does pose a problem though if your publisher’s house style insists that the score shows them too, in addition to the individual parts. The good news is that it can be done in Engrave mode; just adds another step.
