CPU for Cubase and multicore discussion

hi there. I’m about to change CPU from a Ryzen 5 2600X (bought in 2018) to a Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X. I was wondering how much a difference in core and threads could benefit in a 2024 DAW ordinary situation. Here are the differences between the two:

Core: 12 vs 16
Thread: 24 vs 32
Min Freq: 3.7 GHz vs 3.4 GHz
Max Freq: 4.8 GHz vs 4.9 GHz

I have an old build (currently a 2017/2018 build) and buying a more recent CPU would make me change Mobo and everything, and I don’t want to spend a lot. So I thought this “little” upgrade should be a nice compromise.

Aside from light gaming and light video editing for IG, my main work situation is a Cubase project with 50 to 100 tracks, most of them are plugins (Kontakt, Keyscape, Arcade, Neural DSP are the most used) - I often ride semi-orchestral projects, with Kontakt libraries.

I don’t know what’s the situation about Cubase and multicore nowadays, so it would be helpful if someone could advice me. Thank you!
