CPU spikes when midi recording actief

When midi recording is active, the CPU usage is relative high. I get CPU spikes now and then. When I turn off the midi recording button to playback the track, the CPU usage is normal without any pops or spikes. It looks like the abnormal CPU usage problem is only happening when the recording button is on.

Set-up:
Apollo TB2 on 128 samples, 24 bit 48 Khz
Win10 64 Gig Mem Asus prime MB

Anybody …?

Maybe it is related to the instrument that is playing back the MIDI? Is it a CPU hog?

NI Kontakt is working great but 4Knob Pop D on Halion does not… Maybe it’s better with Windows11…?
