I had 2 projects open, one was closed. Presumably the other (inactive) project was then activated… Crash!
I know that there has always been a problem with multiple projects, maybe it has something to do with that? Or it’s a new bug…
(No need to zip crash logs. Upload by dragging onto your post, or use the upload button above.)
Hi,
I’m sorry, this DMP file has been already posting here.
Is it possible, that you attached wrong file?
Yes, that’s not my file either, the Google Drive file was probably accidentally replaced by the mod.
This is mine
Cubase 13.0.10 64bit2023.11.19 22.28.18.905.zip (2.5 MB)
Steve, this is not correct, the server only allows uploads up to 4 MB, so my 6 MB file has to be zipped. Have you also replaced my Google Drive attachment with a file from another user?
Hi @devarni, thank you for the DMP. But there’s not that much to see in the DMP, the error happened earlier. Could it be, that you’re using external MIDI gear in combination with Patch-scripts (for choosing MIDI programs by name)? If so, we noticed a problem in that area, which may cause such kind of crashes. This will be fixed in the upcoming update.
No, I do not use scripts for external midi devices. I had already removed active scripts because I had read about problems. But who knows, maybe it has something to do with it?
I suspect something related to closing and unloading a project and then activating another project… this switching between projects was always a bit critical in Cubase.
Looking at the DMP, the Crash happened when closing the project. Therefore I don’t think that it’s related to activating another project. I’d expect, that the same crash would have happened, if you had simply quit Cubase. But I can’t say for sure. So far, we can’t find the real cause. To identify the problem we’d need a way to reproduce the crash. Sorry. If you find a way to reproduce it, please let us know. Thanks.
