I have a 5 minute string composition created in Dorico (the five string sections plus solo violin) which I am trying to import into Cubase Pro 10.5 via MusicXML.
If I try to import even just one instrument at a time I get an instant crash in Cubase.
I’ve tried “washing” the (Dorico) MusicXML via Logic - it imports perfectly into Logic without issues. Exporting a new MusicXML from Logic fares a little bit better when importing into Cubase, but only in the sense that the crash is not immediate. In other words the instrument tracks (and MIDI data) appear to load but then the process hangs indefinitely.
I’ve created a few test projects which are working just fine going straight from Dorico to Cubase so there’s presumably some issue with the content of this problem project, but I can’t find a why of isolating what it might be.
