Crash while importing MIDI file

Hello there,

Dorico 5 keeps crashing when importing a midi file. I tried opening it in Dorico 4, but the same thing happens there.
I succeeded in opening the file once - but it was so messy with overlapping notes etc (even after the 'shorten to next note duration edit) I decided to import it again and make some adjustments in the import settings. Ever since I wasn’t able to import the file. I tried deselecting some of the import options, but no luck so far.

I don’t know how to add a Diagnostics report/crash log file, but I attached the MIDI if anybody is able to import without it looking messy.
I did try turning my MacBook off and on again  also checked for updates.

Really appreciate the help!

Create the file using Help>Create Diagnostic Report. This creates a Dorico Diagnostics zip file on your desktop. Upload that file here.

Thank you! Here’s the file

Follow up: my client sent me a new MIDI file, but still Dorico keeps crashing when I want to import.
Any ideas?

It is the weekend. I think you will have to be a little patient until the Dev Team can review your diagnostics.

Ah. You are totally right . Excuse my impatience, I completely missed that it was the weekend haha
Thank you for responding though!

I disabled import of trills and tremolos in particular, and that seemed to make a big difference.

You’re such a hero: thank you so much!!
