Crash with the $1 Sampletank 4

I get the unstable Cubase error pop up when switching patches using IK Sampletank 4 I just bought from the Humble deal.
Cubase still seems to function after though,
Here is the dump file. Cheers
Cubase 13.0.41 64bit2024.9.23 9.43.00.462.dmp (1.5 MB)

Yep, the crash happened in the Sampletank plugin. Kindly contact the maker of the plugin with the crash report.

Thanks Johnny, I will send IK a report, cheers !

Hi @Antoine_Bunel,
ST 4 causes CB crashes if there are any inconsistencies with sound files location, and with ST 4 is somewhat easy to mess things up. Many people, including me, had crashes caused by this exactly.
In my case problem was solved by removing all sounbanks duplicates and make sure that absolutely none of them occur.
Then set and rescan sounds location in ST 4.

I’ve been using ST4 for a lot of years and @Kubek is correct that you have to be consistent with where you locate the sample files. Wipe the whole lot and then reinstall ST4 and each library carefully - it is a real mess of an installation, but it is worth the effort as there are some excellent sounds when you do get it running properly.

One other thing - make sure you copy off the sample libraries to a separate drive or backup location for any reinstallation further down the line. The loveable folks at IK don’t let you download the libraries after a certain amount of time without paying them for the priviledge, so save them off securely!

@manassas77 if I recall correctly, IK currently allow you to download sound files for free. I think that option appeared this year.

Good news … IK finally catching up with the real world. Still going to keep my downloaded backups just in case

Useful to know - thanks for the info!
