Crashes, crashes, crashes...

After v.8.5.10 it crashes a lot here… :frowning:

I think it has related to Variaudio, maybe…

How could I revert to v8.5 on OSX?

I tried to open Cubase without the option to disable Preferences, but without luck… :frowning:

Today, with a small project it crashes each time I stop a recording track…
I took almost the plugs…

So, I don’t know what’s happen here…

I bought another system hd, and I did a clean install.
1st I just installed C8.5 then UAD, Waves, Soundtoys, Fabfilter, Melodyne… All my soft is legal.

Then I open a problematic project, that crashes always on a spot, and it crashes again… :frowning:
I tried to bounce the song, and it crashes again on that spot.

Then the problematic project is obviously corrupt somehow.

I have had a similar issue that may or may not help with this workaround…

Try opening a simple project first. Any basic Cubase template. Leave it open and then open the problem project while Cubase is still open. Activate it and save as a different filename.

I have saved a project that had similar crash issues by doing this. It only happened once but this worked somehow.

Never again did I have the issue. Worth a try maybe…

Probably a specific plugin…use the rename vsttplugins folders trick to confirm.
