I just upgraded to Dorico 6, and from a 2019 MacBook Air to a MacBook Pro M5. So far, things are working out great for me – except when I work in large projects that I made in Dorico 5.
In Dorico 6, I’m trying to make small formatting edits to a 125-page score from Dorico 5, but I can’t save it. Every time I try, Dorico 6 immediately closes out, and asks if I’d like to send a report to Dorico.
I suspect it’s because Dorico 6 runs multiple extensions in the background now, such as proofreading, and that a document that large overwhelms the extensions and the program when I try to save it. But I’m not sure. Is there a way to disable the extensions? Or at least make it so that when I hit save – it does it for me, and stays open?
Also, this project is 14.5 MB, and I see this post has a 4 MB limit. How best to upload?

Upload your diagnostics (Do Help>Create Diagnostic Report and upload the zip file that appears on your desktop), so one of the team can see what is happening.
In the Diagnostics is a folder called Crashes. That’s the location where crash dumps shall turn up, but your folder is empty. Did you clean that out by yourself?
Please provide the rest of the data via e.g. DropBox, WeTransfer or any other such file sharing services.
@pkeefe33, the problem is caused by saving the PDF thumbnail when saving the project, and it looks like it might be caused by a specific graphic you have imported into your project. Could you please email the project to me at d dot spreadbury at steinberg dot de?
In the meantime, you can probably get back up and running by turning off the Generate preview thumbnails when saving option in File > Project Info.
