crashing

major problem with cubase crashing when i playback on the main screen. this problem has occurred before, but now its virtually every time i play what i’ve recorded, irrespective of what project i’m working on or how many tracks are being played back. A window will appear saying ‘A serious problem has occurred’, and the messages ‘cascade’ to the point that about five windows overlap. For about ten seconds nothing responds to a mouse click, then cubase shuts down. This has happened every time i’ve used cubase in the past few days. so frustrating.

Hi,

I would recommend to update to the latest Cubase Elements 10.0.40 first. If it’s still crashing, attach a new *.dmp file, please.

Hi, thanks for the advice but it doesn’t seem to be working. crashed again today after i downloaded the latest update on the steinberg website. I’ve attached the most recent dmp file.

The crash is in Groove Agent SE. Make sure you have the latest update installed, please.

You can also try to trash groove Agent SE preferences.
