Ok, so I have been using Cubase for many years and just updated to Cubase 15.30.
I had not used it for a couple of months and loaded it to begin some work.
I got no sound at all from audio files and on midi piano tracks the sustain data was completely deleted and I only got the initial transient notes.
I went back to earlier versions down to Cubase 12 with the same results.
I tried rebuilding my preferences with same results.
Never had anything like this ever before so I am completely befuddled.
I would be happy to pay someone that is an expert for a 30-60 minute consultation to figure this problem out so I can get back to work.
Thank you in advance
Greg Preuss
I would first not worry about pay, and give a bit more details about your issues here. Your solution may be …free.

for sure!
We can start troubleshooting here:
Can you show us screenshots of
Audio Connections: Output tab. And, if you use it, the Control Room tab. Be sure to include the entire window, don’t crop it.
Same thing for Studio Setup: Audio System.
Here are examples of what I’m asking for
Thanks for the quick reply’s. I will send the photos tomorrow.

To get an idea if your problem is related to the interface or to the control room setup, I would first try to deactivate control room and connect your stereo out L/R directly to the Cubase. If that works you can focus on the Control Room settings.

I already tried that with no results. I also rebuilt my preferences hoping that would do it but no help there either.

Thanks for the great ideas Steve!
I have to go out of the country tomorrow but will try these as soon as I get back next week.
The thing that’s hard to understand is why the midi data like sustain on the piano has also disappeared.
