Hi! I have a duet where my singers are called "Vocal Solo” and “Vocal Solo 2”. They both are holding the “solo voice” instrument. In my keyboard part, I can create a cue from Vocal Solo with no problem. When I create a cue from Vocal Solo 2 however, I just get a bar of rests.
Can anyone help me with this?
Please post a sample Dorico file so we can see what you have written. You only need to post a excerpt that shows the problem.
Normal practice would be that the keyboard part is a score including both vocal parts (perhaps reduced in size), so cues would be unnecessary.
The problem seems to have been how the two solo voices were assigned to the staves, The cue function seemed to want to choose the upper staff instead of the lower one that contained the music.
…and how did you deduce this?
