Creating a bar repeat for a different time signature

Hi, I am writing a piece where I’d like a recurring phrase in the piano line to be repeated. It is originally in 6/8 but goes into 3/8 for one bar. How do I get the bar repeat region to cover the 3/8 bar as well?

I know they are technically two different bars as they are in two different time signatures but as this is a freely moving phrase, the time signature doesn’t really matter for the piano, just for the bass-baritone who has a measured line going on at the same time.

Here’s a picture of what I mean:

I’d like the RH piano part to keep giving me the ./. symbol throughout the 3/8 bar.

If anyone could help that’d be great. Hope I’ve explained this well enough!

Welcome to the forum, @ana.geog. I’m afraid this isn’t something Dorico can handle natively at the moment, since it expects to be able to play back the previous music. You’ll have to add a repeat bar symbol manually, e.g. using a text item with the Avoid collision property deactivated so you can position the symbol within the staff.
