creating a portamento giide on audio

I’d like to create a smooth glide (portamento) within a note (ie split an Audio note and have it glide, as in: https://youtu.be/hj9W5efs-MI?t=524

I’ve been slicing the note into the smallest fragments in VariAudio and, by using the tilt control, can approximate this, but I’m wondering if there’s a more controllable method within Cubase Pro, or a plug in aside from Antares Autotune Pro.

What about to use Sample Track for this? I haven’t tried, but this is the way, I would try to go.
