I am experimenting with a completely new tuning for the double bass…
The only options given are normal or solo tuning. Is it possible to create a double bass tuned in fourths (normal) but a fifth higher?

No, at the moment there’s no way for you to specify the pitches of the strings in stringed instruments like double bass, but this is something that will be possible in a future version of the software as part of a broader set of features around customising instrument types.
