Creating and saving a project template BBC SYmphony

I’ve been doing the Thinkspace course “Orchestral Template in a Weekend”. The course is designed to show someone new to using a sampled orchestra the best way to set up a good selection of instruments, articulations, routing etc. However, the course is set up to make it easier for the student to do this every time before starting work on a new project.

My issue is that the course specifies using either Kontakt or Play to add multiple instruments by channel, MIDI channel etc. However, I can’t get Kontakt to “see” BBC Symphony Orchestra PRO which is my sample orchestra. And I can’t see how to use the BBC plugin in the same way as Kontakt, because each track seems to be capable of only MIDI track. (You might have figured that I’m not exactly comfortable with the deep technical stuff on Cubase!)

Hi @Zwa, BBC SO cannot be loaded into Kontakt as it works with its own plugin (it is an independent VSTi).
You can add an Instrumental Track for each instrument (Violin, Cello, Trumpet, etc.), choosing BBC SO.
You can then manage the Articulations of each instrument with the Expression Maps (which you will load on each Track: EM for Violin, EM for Cello, EM for Trumpet, etc.).
Once finished, save as a template.
If you are looking for pre-made templates for Cubase you can find them on the Spitfire website.

Thank you. However, I visited the Spitfire website and was unable to find any templates. If you have time could you add the URL to thig thread? Thank you.
