Creating mixdowns ignoring timestretch

Hi all,

I created something in Cubasis IOS and want to get it into Ableton - Im tying to export the tracks as audio stems and import them in to Ableton as audio files for a final mix.

However, whenever I try to export a mixdown from Cubasis, it’s ignoring the timestretching on the samples - which is meaning everything is out of whack.

I then tried to freeze the tracks, but the frozen tracks just come out blank when I export them in the mixdown. I’m completely confused - anyone got any advice on how to solve this?

Thanks!

Louis

Hi @Louisandthecat,

We are unaware about any issues in regards to exporting audio tracks.

I then tried to freeze the tracks, but the frozen tracks just come out blank when I export them in the mixdown. I’m completely confused - anyone got any advice on how to solve this?

Please give the following steps a try:

  • Set the “L” and “R” locator range matching the length of your project.
  • Go to “MEDIA/Mixdown” and tap “Create Mixdown”.
  • Make sure only “Mixdown between locators” and “Create separate files…” are the enabled options on the “WAV” tab.
  • Tap “Start Mixdown” once ready.

Please let me know if this helps to create your stems as desired.

However, whenever I try to export a mixdown from Cubasis, it’s ignoring the timestretching on the samples - which is meaning everything is out of whack.

Please let us have more details about the issue, or share a short clip with us which shows the exact steps leading to the problem.

Best,
Lars

Thanks Lars - in the end I just rewarped everything in Ableton and I’ve finished the track now. I will try again at some point with a new tune and let you know how I get on, appreciate the reply!
