Finale user trying to figure out Dorico 5.1 here…
I see how to place rehearsal letters. In Finale there is a whole category called “rehearsal marks” where you can put in any text, not just sequential letters or numbers. How do you do that in Dorico?
Welcome to the forum! Generally in Finale you can also select any Expression category and assign it a Score List. You didn’t actually need to use Rehearsal Marks. So here I’ve selected a Tempo Alteration, set the default category to be Score List 1, and by hitting the Edit button I could fully customize where that would appear.
In Dorico you can assign System Text with Shift+Opt/Alt+X and assign where it should display as well. Just go into Layout Options / Staves and Systems / System-attached Items and select what you want. You can select the Specific Players tab for even more customization than is available in this image:
