Hi, I just discovered the following:
If I enter a e.g. 5/8 bar before a 4/4 bar with the popover and insert mode turned on, Dorico will create two bars of 5/8 and add an extra rest at the end of the second bar, to fill the bar.
The same is true, if I select the first note of the bar and enter the 5/8 from the menu on the right side.
But if I have nothing selected and load the 5/8 meter into the mouse pointer and than click on the first note (insert mode still on), Dorico won’t add the rest.
I never use this method, but I just wanted to mention it …
